Method to the Madness- The Making of Voices
==========================================

Hi all, amievil? here. Thought i'd write a few words about how this fm
idea came to be. Over two years ago, while in the middle of making Hell's Motel part
1, a vision of my storyline came to me. At the time, I had the story of Hell's Motel
written but I really didn't have a way to implement it into the game correctly. An idea
came up about Garrett leaving the city for a while. And then it hit me. Would it be
possible if I made it so that Garrett was telling a story of an event in his life. As
a result of that thought, This storyline with an apprentice Thief in Talon came to life.
Garrett takes in Talon after a failed break in attempt of Garrett's own home.
Garrett proceeds to offer Talon a position as an "understudy" of the ways of
a Master Thief. Talon of course accepts this. And on that first night, nearly
two years before this fm, Garrett tells Talon the tale of Hell's Motel.

As time went on I expanded the storyline until I saw how it was to end. Talon was to betray
Garrett. And yet not by his own will. There is another, a dark, sinister force of
evil within the mix. At the time of this writing I can only say that it
isn't the Trickster or any of his minions as the voice inside Talon's head.

So where do we go from here? To the next fm of course. Garrett may be old, but he is
still THE master Thief. The next will begin the following morning. Talon
has made a run for the streets, using Sheb's Tavern as an escape route
because the gate is locked. You begin the next mission as Garrett, on a mission
to prove two things: You can't keep a Master Thief down, and you don't kill Garrett's
two best friends and live. Somebody's gonna pay, the king is back in town. Garrett,
once feared, now forgotten in a city full of calm, will bring back the shadow and lightened
load of purse. The most promising acolyte is coming back home....to the streets.

I know that many of you who have played Voices probably left this fm with a bad taste in your
mouth. The whole concept of kill every guard isn't for everyone. I beg you though, understand
the method to this madness, becuase the end is yet to come.
